No time to sit down.....

Good Sunday afternoon, everyone! So sorry it's been over a month since my last post. Literally, we don't sit down anymore between my new job & Sutton crawling...
I've been out of town a fair amount and really have to hand it to Eric. He takes care of everything at home & doesn't miss a beat. And most importantly, I never stress or worry!! I just miss them terribly. This past week I was in Deerfield, Illinois for a whole week for training. Not a fan of being away so long, but the training was good & I'm ready to take on the world :)
Eric was smart & got our good friend, Kristen, to babysit one day this week so he could go play golf. Nice mid-week break, well planned if I do say so myself!!!

Not much else going on here. The days just fly by & Sutton continues to light up our world as she learns something new every day.
We had a wonderful visit over Memorial Day visiting Annie/Mike, Nicole, and Hailey....and
we are looking forward to seeing Pop & Nan in early July....and then my mom will come for a couple of days hopefully mid-July. Top on our list of things we are looking forward to is a Trip to the Bahamas, just the 2 of us!, late this June. Our friend, Amy's, parents (who live in town) are watching Sutton & we are thrilled with the idea of sleeping in and not having to plan the day around nap times :) YAY BAHAMAS :)

Crawling!!!

Hi All! Sorry for the quick post, but wanted to share this exciting milestone today (captured on camera thanks to my sorority sister, Ali Chappell) -- Sutton crawled forward. For weeks (months?) she's been wanting to crawl, but manages only to scoot/crawl backwards or barrel roll through the den to get what she wants (in this case, Jenn's dog Bailey!)
Daddy has been working with her & knew she was close...but as luck would have it -- He was out today for a much needed break, playing 18 holes with his buddies, and missed her big "debut"... Eric will see tomorrow, but as I keep watching the film again & again, I am smiling -- so proud of my baby (hardly) "big" girl now....

7 month pictures.....and some other good news!

Hi All!

Sorry for the delay in posting...been a whirlwind of a few weeks. I (Megan) got a NEW JOB!! So that's been a challenge with the transition & I've been out of town some for orientation, etc....but it's an awesome opportunity with Baxter Healthcare Co...and I couldn't be happier!!!
(that was the other good news :)

I have a lot to catch you up on with Sutton, but don't have enough time to post it all right now....We took Sutton to get her 1st set of professional photos taken while Mom was in town at the end of March. They turned out so cute!! I'm attaching the ones we picked :)

Otherwise -- between my job interviews (I had 6), hosting Mom/Phelps' Family/Paoloni Family and going to my sisters for Easter, things have been GREAT & Hectic :) Wouldn't have it any other way!

Onto other things -- The 3 of us went to the mountains for a weekend getaway recently; SO much fun and such a wonderful retreat!!

Eric spent 1 night while Mom was here with Tim in VA. He had a blast seeing him, his band, and catching up. Hopefully SC & I will go next time, but Mom/I enjoyed a night with just "the girls"...Mom celebrated her birthday on Friday while she was here as well -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN MOM!

5 Year Anniversary

Today is the 5 year anniversary.....the day I lost my Dadd.......the man who hung the moon as far as I was concerned.....the man who wiped off my tears off when I fell off a bike or had a boy break my heart......the man who gave me countless kisses just for being me and for being his......the man who taught me how to dance, how to golf, how to read a map, how to use a power drill.... Time does heal but it certainly doesn't make me miss him any less.....

Now that we have a daughter, and I get to see Eric with Sutton -- I understand even more.....

Fun visitors & trips!

Hi Everyone!!
Busy last 2 weeks for us (common theme, isn't it? :)....Pop & Patsy (aka Nan) came for the 1st weekend in March -- Patsy's spring break --- and then last Thurs/Fri/Sat, we went to Raleigh and stayed with Annie/Mike/Hailey/Nicole & my Mom! I had to work there on Friday, so the timing couldn't have been more perfect!

Of course our time with family always flies by... :( .....but we sure enjoy every second & are thrilled we got to see everyone!

Springtime is here!!!! Cute sweet Hailey :) 11 months in a few days!

Sutton is doing great with her helmet. She still is wearing it, but is on the tail-end of the journey! It will either come off on Monday, May 19th or Monday, May 26th!! So proud of our girl!!! Now we had to borrow one of Hailey's bows to get used to the way Sutton will look without her helmet -- she likes it!

Now we are home again & enjoying this warm weather....Sutton is sporting some of her new "hand-me-down" clothes for Spring....I'm loving it!! This weekend we may head up to the mountains for a quick getaway -- we need a break :)
